I have two U2717D monitors that blink on and off when daisy chained together via displayport. MST 1.2 is enabled. I've tried MST 1.2 both on and off on the 2nd monitor in the chain with no success. This happens on both a fully updated Latitude E6440 and E-Dock, as well as on a fully updated Precision 5510 with TB15 dock. I've seen it mentioned in threads for other monitors having the same issue that a new revision is being released and the current ones will need to be RMA'd. Does this apply to the U2717D as well?

What are the 20 digit serial numbers and A0x revisions of both U2717D?
Before RMA exchange, is there a desktop computer there with video card that has DP out to test the daisy chain to verify that the fault follows the monitors?

I don't have a desktop machine available to test with, but as I mentioned I tried it on two different model laptops with docks and the problem occurred on both.
I would still like to see testing without the docks, but to do so, you would need to purchase a USB Type C/Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort cable locally. Then test in this way =
Precision 5510 USB Type C/Thunderbolt 3 out --> USB Type C/Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort cable --> #1 U2717D DP in port (MST On)
#1 U2717D DP out port --> DP to mDP cable --> #2 U2717D DP in port (MST Off)
Or just initiate exchanges of the U2717D's.
I found an Optiplex 3040 and tested with it. Same blinking issue. Was curious if this is a known issue with this model like it is with some of the other models.
I've got exactly the same problem. Spend a lot of money on what I thought to be 3 premium screens. I'm very disappointed with the blinking.

NOTE: this was a blinking issue on 2 daisy-chained U2417H monitors bought in Feb 2016, after doing everything else, finally inititeted a NEW exchange to get the updated A02 processor. NOT SURE IF THIS APPLIES TO ALL MONITORS, BUT DOESN'T HURT ASKING DELL SUPPORT:
I followed Chris M's answer below on another thread. Took me about 60 minutes on the phone with DELL Support to explain the person that Chris said "NEW" exchange. Had to send them the link to the below post!
Anyway, they send me 2 exchange monitors that said "Refurbished" on the packaging. One Monitor was manufactured in July 2016, the other in August 2016. Whatever they updated or refurbished (I am guessing the A02 processor), it seems to work. So far no more blinking after 1 hour of operation. (they other two would have blinked once or twice by now)

To address the blinking issue, a new exchange (not a used exchange) must be setup to get the fixed A02 revision. These should be available in mid-October. Apologies for the long wait!
Read this for exchange instructions. In my FAQ, just ignore the part about new and used exchange policy. Be sure to point out to the Technical Support person that I stated new, not used.
