U2719DX to S2719DGF, daisy chain not working

I have a Dell U2719DX monitor and a Dell S2719DGF monitor (among others). The U2719DX monitor has a DisplayPort Out port, but when connected to the DP In port of the S2719DGF monitor I get no signal. If I instead connect it to my LG 32QN600-B monitor I do get a signal, so I know the port and cable both work. If I connect the S2719DGF directly to my PC with a DisplayPort cable then I get a signal so I know that port works. Why can't I daisy chain the two Dell monitors together?

To receive assistance from Dell support, click the "Get help now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. Share the private Dell Monitor Service Tags and 20 digit serial numbers with them.

DX? I see the U2719D, U2719DC, and U2719DS.

Is the second monitor set to Menu- Display- MST Off?

The model number on the back of the monitor with the DP-out port says U2719DX with a manufacture date of Jun 2020. The second monitor, S2719DGF, does not have an MST option under Menu > Display. The only options under Menu > Display are Aspect Ratio, Input Color Format, Sharpness, Dynamic Contrast (which is disabled), and Reset Display.

U2719DX is a subset of U2719D. X means it shipped with an HDMI cable.

Make sure that the S2719DGF- Game- Overclock and FreeSync are set to Off. Then retest DP MST chain.

Overclock was already disabled but Freesync was On. I turned it Off but it didn't seem to help.

Click the "Get help now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. Share the private U2719DX and S2719DGF Service Tag numbers so that they can check the warranty status.

* Turn the U2719DX off
* Disconnect every cable (including the power cable) from the U2719DX
* Press the U2719DX power button in for 8 seconds
* Reconnect the cabling and retest the DP MST chain

I followed those instructions and it did not help. I then spent almost an hour on a live chat session only for them to conclude "we would not be able to support you".
