U3014 OSD no reset, sleeps on its own
Yes I love this monitor. And there are some issues.
Going to sleep between 25-45 seconds on its own is one. I have uninstalled Dell display manager. No change. Tried disabling DDC/CI but the confirmation screen will not respond to Yes or NO, therefore the setting never changes. Same thing occurs when attempting a reset to default since it also confirms with a separate screen which will not respond to keyboard or mouse. I wish to get control through the monitor's menu - any help appreciated.

imgary,
* Turn the monitor off
* The keyboard and mouse should be plugged into USB ports on the computer, not the monitor
* The only cable connecting the monitor to the computer should be ONE video cable
* Disconnect the USB upstream cable from the monitor to the computer
* Turn the monitor on
* Retest

Since your monitor has a Service Tag number, contact Dell Technical Support for your country. Provide to them the following data so they can setup a like for like monitor exchange if still within the purchased warranty period =
Email Address:
Name:
Shipping Address:
Phone number:
Monitor Service Tag number:
Monitor 20 digit alphanumeric PPID serial number:

Thank you.
Nothing changed. I did figure out how to disable DDC/Ci - and did so. That so far as changed nothing. All problems still exist. Sounds like internal wiring controls malfunction to me. So frustrating...

The problem continues. Dell support (India) this time around is being very very unsatisfying. In attempting to isolate issue, I used HDMI cable, alternating with mini-DP to DP. Briefly the hdmi cable eliminated problem with power save every 1 minute, but then resumed with either cable. Today the monitor has started to only display at 1920 and in change resolution 2560 does not even exist. My GPU is capable of driving 3 monitors at 2560x1600. Need I say I am none the less reluctant to get a third monitor given that both the first and second have developed crippling problems that upon analysis look like hi probability likelihoods of being the internal circuitry or software. Dell support India is very much a concern to me as to what their protocols are to get rid of warranty problems. Escalating gets folks who have not reviewed the file and so far have made historical statements that are not factual, and also will not allow me to review / see my file. I keep very careful notes. I have had to sue people, so documentation is something I do well. Is there another service channel I can look for resolution with? I want to avoid a third monitor that develops circuitry problems yet again. Is that even realistic? Help - (or beware).

December 2013 -
on my own, I "believe" that problem could be related to desktop themes and the screen saver settings. I have not used screen saver or it has been set to 0/not use. I do have several themes. One day I used one with an automatic use screen saver. And the power save every one minute stopped. When I change themes, I set a screen saver, then turn it off. Problem for 10 days has not returned using this procedure.
FYI - I bought a DPv1.2 and installed it. I believe the screen lots sharper. I also believe there might not be good reason other than psychological to explain that, but just sharing.
Summary: even after talking with Asus and Dell (a million times), I discovered this "screen saver setting" issue which seems to have solved this long ongoing problem. Still - I need to up to 2 months of things working the same with this monitor to relax, but this is yet another avenue to check for those with similar problems.
