U3014, broken, out of warranty, parts, service?

Hi,

I have a monitor DELL U3014 [CN-0P1V6N-74445-4AA-070L - REV A04 - Oct 2014] out of warranty, it's ended to June 2016. I have a problem, it doesn't work more. The screen is black with vertical colored lines (I attached the photos). The problem there is also with only power cable connected. It's impossible to use it (or open the OSD). I already contact the Italian support but it can't help me because the monitor is out of warranty. I tried to carry the monitor by the local computer specialist but he couldn't repair it because there aren't replacement parts by Dell. Can you help me? Are there the official Dell customer care point in Italy or Europe to send the monitor to repair it to payment?

Thanks for your helpfulness,
best regards,
Vittorio Garofoli.

Unfortunately, Dell does not repair monitors, sell monitor components, or have disassembly documentation. Nor do we have a service center for monitors. Once they diagnose the faulty hardware, your local Monitor/TV repair store would need to search for spare parts on eBay or some other 3rd party site.

I also have the same problem, did some one figure out what it is? I had this several times before, but after resting for some minutes or hours, it worked again. This time it did not recover. I had this issue only when attached twith dvi to my dedicated graphics card (an evga gforce 660 ti) attached to my Intel nuc by HDMI, I didn't encounter this problem EVER. once I fired up my PC for the first time in over a year, working a lot in bios and raid bios to get it to boot, the monitor crashed and now I am stranded with my laptop. The local repair guy said "panel broken, need to replace the panel" but due to my experience of the recurring recoveries, I am quite sure that its just a chip, or some lane that does some weird stuff. Also, if I maneuver trough the odd and trigger the self test, the colors change accordingly, but the pattern stays the same. So the weird moving stripes, are in fact a distorted version of the meant to be output. That's my story and what I've discovered along my way.

Greetings from Austria

Walter

I have exactly the same problem.  Sounds like nobody has found a solution.
