U3014, image retention
Mine has the same issue even after just 15-20 minutes I can see it on the wallpaper when I move Windows around that have been there for a while. There's even is setting in the menu to help try and clean it up but why is it there the first place? I didn't think LCD he's had this kind of problem.

I still have some time left on the warranty and they sent me out a new U3017. :)
No more instant image retention. :)

You replied to an old thread, started a new one.
Any monitor can be susceptible to image retention based on your usage. If you have a static image on for hours a day, yes, it will appear. Which is why the U3014 has the option for "LCD Conditioning" in the OSD (On Screen Display) Menu- Other Settings.
How are you using this U3014? Do you use a screen saver during the work day? Do you turn the U3014 off at the end of the work day?

Yes all screens can have burn in but I’ve been using LCDs for 20-ish years and never seen one have the issue this fast. Only on process PCs that have the same image on 24/7 for years. What is so different in the 3014 IPS LCD than any other LCD I’ve happened to use? My 3011 (or any of the other LCDS I have) at home don’t do this and when I work from home I’m running the same apps the same way with the same OS and wallpaper. Just seems like there is something in the newer LCD panels that is way more susceptible to image retention the any LCD I’ve have before and I’m guessing that is why they added a built in LCD conditioning mode. If it’s a certain type of IPS LCD then I’d like to know so I can avoid it in the future.

I know it’s been awhile but got sidetracked by work. :(
I’ve did some testing and I can see the image retention start after just 10 minutes. Again I’ve never seen this before on any displays I have. My U2413 setting right next to it has Outlook on it all day and it shows nothing, no retention at all. Just like all the other Dell displays I’ve had. When I work from home my U3011 has the same content for 10+ hour work days and never seen any image retention. Tried to add a pic.

All you can do is run the LCD conditioning. If that does not make it better, your only recourse is to replace it.
