U3415W, USB downstream port + Flash drive, Dual systems

Have my Macbook and my PC hooked up to this monitor using the upstream ports, so I can use my mouse and keyboard with both of these.  Just found out that I can hook up a flash drive to one of the downstream USB ports and have it accessible for both computers.  Perhaps it should have been obvious, but only read about using the mouse and keyboard with the downstream ports.

Interesting. So you enter the OSD (On Screen Display) -Input Source -USB Selection and choose the appropriate USB, either 1 or 2. And then the computer on 1 and 2 can then access the Flash drive.

The only issue I see would be if you were in the process of moving data to or from the Flash drive, and forgot, then switched the KVM USB to the other system. The transfer would stop.

Exactly.  I should have added that probably ANY USB device could be accessed this way.
