U3415W, two USB powered LED light strips
Hi all,
I'm trying to use the USB ports on U3415W to power two USB powered LED light strips. I don't have data connected as I don't need it. Plugged my first strip in and works fine. Plug the second strip in and it works, but shuts off for a second every 20 or so seconds. It doesn't do this when plugged into my hub or into my PC with the same cables. I tried plugging in the strip that works fine in the port I used for the that doesn't, it worked fine. Plugged the offending strip by itself; into the port I used for the one that works fine and its the same problem, not sure what to do.

Let's backup. Open the U3415W User's Guide. Page 9 shows the rear USB downstream port. Page 10 shows the three bottom USB downstream ports = 9-1, 9-1, 9-2
* Disconnect the problem LED light strip from the U3415W
* Test the working LED light strip in all four USB downstream ports = Rear, 9-1, 9-1, 9-2
* What are the results?

The strip that works fine works fine on all 4 ports, the other one works for 25 seconds, then cuts out for 1 second and repeats, it does this on all 4 ports. The offending strip works fine in all the other USB type A devices I've tried, 5 PC's, 3 hubs, multiple gaming consoles etc, its driving me nuts...it works just fine everywhere except the desired location....

If strip #1 works in all of the U3415W USB downstream ports, then those ports are functional. To test this again, find a wired USB mouse and test it in all of the U3415W USB downstream ports. If it works in all, then that is two devices that prove the ports are functional. At that point, I would return the problem LED light strip and replace it.
