U3419W, macOS 10.15.6, power chime issue

Hi,

Just bought a U3419W firmware M3B107 connected to a MacBook running macOS 10.15.6. I am seeing this issue = Power Chime Noise from MacBook

Is this expected?

Thanks!

* At the top of this Monitors board, open "FAQ Monitor"
* Open "Dell monitor, Apple FAQ"
* macOS Power Chime issue

There is not workaround to solve the incompatibility with the U3419W and U3818DW Ti TPS6598E power delivery chip and macOS 10.14.3 and some later versions. When connected via the USB Type-C to C cable, the macOS user could see the following issues =
- Fully charged Apple MacBook constant "charm" power chime noise due to waking and sleeping
- The monitor might display, "Scanning for Signal"
Dell Policy = A firmware update to the TPS6598E chip will not correct these issues. Also, there will not be a power delivery controller chip upgrade replacement to correct this incompatibility issue.

The following workarounds can be used =
* Disable sleep on the MacBook. Go to System Preferences --> Energy Saver --> Prevent monitor from sleeping automatically when the display is off
* Disconnect the USB Type-C cable from your MacBook whenever you power off your system
* Use the power adapter provided with your MacBook to charge your system

Our monitor manufacturer lab tested the U3219Q (M3B101, M3B107), U3419W (M3B107), and U3818DW (M3B106) on macOS 10.15.5 Catalina and did NOT have the Power Chime noise.

11.0 Big Sur = unknown
10.15.7 Catalina = chime
10.15.6 Catalina = chime

10.15.5 Catalina = no chime
10.15.4 Catalina = chime
10.14.3 Mojave = chime
10.13.6 High Sierra = no chime
10.12.6 Sierra = no chime

@DELL-Cares

Let me confirm the chime issue manifests on the macOS 10.15.7 with this monitor model too.
