U3818DW, XPS 13 9370, DDM not working

Hi,

Am using a Dell XPS 13 9370 connected to the Dell U3818DW via HDMI and USB connected to the upstream port on the monitor. Not using the USB-C connection as I have that plugged into my Macbook Pro. I have been trying to get DDM working on my Dell XPS but cannot do so, either with DDM 1986 or 1995. The DDM Icon in the System Tray constantly says "Please connect a supported Dell Monitor."

Have attached my diagnostic log below for your reference. Have tried several of the solutions advised on this forum but have not had any success. Was able to have a successful connection between the Monitor & Firmware Update Package (Firmware was already updated), but not with DDM. Would appreciate your help.

This is a Windows device configuration error. Try this:

1. Open the “Run” dialog box by pressing and holding the Windows key, then press the R key (“Run”)
2. Enter "devmgmt.msc" and click OK to start Device Manager
3. Delete (uninstall) every entry listed *under* the "Monitors" category (NOT the "Monitors" category itself!)
4. Go up to the Action menu, and select "Scan for hardware changes"

Try DDM again. If it still does not find any monitors, do this:

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 above a second time
6. Delete (uninstall) every entry listed *under* the "Display adapters" category (NOT the "Display adapters" category itself!)
7. Go up to the Action menu, and select "Scan for hardware changes"

Try DDM again.
