UP2715K, to PS4 Pro HDMI?

I want to connect my playstation 4 pro to my dell UP2715k but there are only  mini DP and x2 DP inputs.

I've tried using a displayport to HDMI converter and a mini-displayport to HDMI converter. But have since found that these are designed purely one way (e.g. DP/mDP to HDMI).

Wondering what solutions there are. Will the dell cable DP to HDMI (c2g - Manufacturer Part : 84327 | Dell Part : A7898959) work or is this also one way?

Thanks for your suggestions.

No. A7898959 is one way only, computer DP out port --> DP to HDMI cable --> monitor HDMI in port.

Kind of sad that Sony released the PS4 on October 2016 without DP out or mDP out. The UP2715K capability (5K 5120x2880 60Hz, 4K 3840x2160 60Hz) is not going to be used by the PS4. All PS4 games will max to 1920x1080P. The PS4 will be enabled for 4K resolution for videos, the interface, and movies through Hulu or Netflix, but it will not have the capability to display games in 5K/4K.

A computer (PS4) HDMI to DP/mDP converter that can do 5120x2880 60Hz or 3840x2160 60Hz does not exist. They do make some that could work lower resolutions and Hz.

PS4 HDMI out --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> HDMI in to DP out converter --> DP to mDP cable --> Monitor mDP in 1920x1080/1200

Thanks Chris for the prompt and clear response.

Just to clarify though, the resolution drop from 4k 3840x2160 to 1920x1080 is because that is what the startec converter supports. I realised that 5k wouldn't be supported, but thought it would still be possible to achieve 4k via the mDP.

Is there a converter that supports 4k?

Also kinda sad that Dell didn't include a HDMI 2.0 port or even HDMI 1.4 (I used to have a U2410 which was far more versatile). Yes, it's a shame this monitor can't natively support PS4 pro resolutions.

The startec converter was just an example. I have not seen a converter that can do 4K/5K. The PS4 itself cannot do games at 4K/5K. See this for statements by the PS4 president (Yoshida) concerning games and resolutions.

That statement I believe was by Yoshida regarding the PS4, whereas my query is regarding the PS4 Pro (see original post). Although the PS4 Pro does not output native 4k, it does rely on upsampling/checkerboarding to be able to render/output 4k HDRI (see specs here: www.playstation.com/.../ ). As the PS4 can also be used to steam 4k video content.

Anyways - looks like the bottleneck will be the HDMI - - > mDP converter by starteck will see if there is anything else on the market but due to demand it looks unlikely. Thanks anyway,
