i had build a system with the Geforce gtx 1050 graphics card in it. The Nvidea site says it supports hdmi 2.0b. But i cannot get the 60hz what ever i do for my 4k UP3216q.
I have used the hdmi cable provided by dell. Should i try changing that, shd i buy a hdmi 2.0 cable? If there is something like that?
the gtx 1050 says it has a HDMI 2.0b support . But not sure y it isnt supporting. I am planning on getting the dp cable by tommorow and connect it and see. I had downloaded the latest drivers from the nvidea site, so drivers are all up.
can it be that the 4k monitor is too heavy on the gtx, that is fails to load the HDMI 2.0? since the GTX 1050 has just 2GB memory

* Unknown. You should at least be able to get lower resolutions at 60Hz with HDMI. On my work laptop I could do this =
Latitude E7240 HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> UP3216Q HDMI in port = 3840x2160 29Hz, 2048x1152 60Hz
Why not test the DP to DP cable that came with the UP3216Q?
I actually build a system and had mac installed. A hacintosh so cannot change the resolutions.
I did not get a dp to dp cable. I just got the mdp to dp. The 1050 has only dp and hdmi
"and had mac installed. A hacintosh so cannot change the resolutions"
* I have no idea what that all means. We do not do apple.
OK, so test =
GTX 1050 DP out port --> UP3216Q DP to mDP cable --> UP3216Q mDP in port (#4 in the picture below)
