power saver mode

i have been reading all the problems with power saver mode. i have the same . cannot get my monitor back on. blinking orange lite how can i fix it if i cant get access to the screen.. i have turned it off and on again, nothing changes. boots but monitor goes to green 10 sec then blinking orange. thanks

I just re-installed everything (format c: and away I went). My power saver used to work fine but now the monitor won't come back on when I hit a key or move the mouse.

Thank you for joining the DellTalk Forum.

You can try going into the power management in the control panel and set to turn off monitor to never and turn off harddrive to whatever time you like.

How do you disable the power management if the screen won't stay on?  I am having the same trouble and I cannot access anything since the monitor says that it is in Power Saver mode.  Touching the keyboard and/or mouse does nothing.

mkmbharris,

Can you open the system and reseat the video card in the slot then, reconnect the monitor, power back up and see if the monitor will work?
