Backup log on Client end.
Hello All Networker experts!!!!!!1
Is there a way we can have a log in the client which tells each servers owners that a valid backup has happened last night?
just like we have a savegrp alert E-mail... can we have any verbose output - or have a log created on client /nsr/ directory....
The purpose is to enable the client owners that a backup was successful -- to eliminate they contacting NW administrator to check...
We do not want to enable mminfo -s kind of queries...
but a mechanism for us to put a log in the client /nsr/logs directory...
Any suggestions are welcome...

You can use the client's 'Owner notification' for this purpose. But as it is rarely used, i do not remember what is report it.

Usually they should only know if they fail (and this is much easier to configure). Nevertheless, they could also be given access to NMC and to see it themselves.
