Can you see on Networker 7.5.1 current reading - browsable status ?

Hello!

We are using NetWorker 7.5.1 now. We are running backup of SAP (with Networker Model for SAP and Oracle with RMAN) on 2 phases. First phase is backup on tape devices (and it is OK), 2. phase is 'verify', which means reading (browse) data from tape devices. I have problem that I can not see how much of data was reading... For example:

On EMC Networker 7.5.1 server
========================

NMC --> Devices --> Libraries --> MSL5052:

Device Volume Write Enabled Message
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
rd=sap-sys2:/dev/ntape/tape24_d1 POO100 Yes 1:reading,data

NMC --> Monitoring --> Sessions --> All Sessions:

Client name Target Type
----------------------------------------------------------------------
sap-sys2 sysadm browsing

sap-sys2 is storage node (Tru64) with Oracle RMAN ! I can see only that reading is performed...

On the other side, we have Legato Networker 7.2.1 before and there was information I need it:

On Legato Networker 7.2.1 server
=========================

nwadmin --> Monitor:

Sessions
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
sap-sys1.gorenje.si:orasys browsing
sap-sys1:POL1_aebvbgcu.35495_1 (11/02/09) reading from POL091 112 GB of 259 GB
...

I can see current status...

My question is: how can I get such info on Networker 7.5.1 ?

I am not sure but you can try nsrwatch command. It might show some information.

Hello again !

I can see message in NMC --> Monitoring --> Log, ie:

...
sap-sys2: RMAN_SYS_bebuykip.1783_1 (11/01/09) done reading 189 GB
...

But only at the end. I wish to see info between all phase...

I thing that at the time of tape change (if more than one tape is required to read) but not otherwise.

I think there is no other way to check the status in between.

I didn't pay much with that (since we do not use verify option), but I remember that in NMC I could see more details if I selected recover sessions to be monitored when I was doing some sort of read/restore job (like cloning). Not sure if it works in this case too.
