Cannot match database credentials string format in config file
Hi !
We're patching our networker to 8.2.0.4
We have a error message when upgrading NMC
Existing database /lgto_gstdb/lgto_gst.db
has not been converted to the new Sybase 12.0.1 format
Database needs to be converted to make it compatible
with the new product release
....
Everything runs smootly 'till migrating the database:
Start /opt/LGTOnmc/sybase/bin/gstdbupgrade.sh with /lgto_gstdb and /opt/LGTOnmc/logs
Unchanged copy of your database will be stored in the following directory: /lgto_gstdb
Log file with results of database migration will be stored in directory /opt/LGTOnmc/logs
63216:(pid 21873): Cannot match database credentials string format in config file
Installation successfull
Installation of was successfull.
Enviroment:
Solaris 11.2 X86
networker and gst server where migrated from another machine (solaris 10) into this new one solaris 11, version was 7.6.0.1
gst is working, but i guess using the old database format. So, i don't know if i just get rid of the line
current_db_cred=xxxxxxxx... in the gst_db.conf file and try to upgrade the db format, or what else should i try.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards

It is big jump... I personally would drop whole old DB and start from scratch for NMC (I can imagine you may not wish to do that if you use NMC for historical reporting). I did smaller jumps and would drop it as it could not understand my LDAP config well, but I just use it as GUI front-end so dropping it for me was not an issue.

Luis,
Could you send me an email? I would like to talk to you about your issue. Eddie.Albert@emc.com do you have an SR open for this issue? Thank you...
