Client backup with SnapImage module is adding huge entires in CFI

We are using Networker NetWorker 7.6.3.4. Recently we tried to configure a windows server with SnapImage moduel due to large number of files.

I noticed that it has added huge entries in CFI ( obviously because of number of files ). It has added more than 54 GB of data in just few days.

Any solution to  limit the size or do I need to keep brows policy of just few days.

Hi,

If the indexes folder is increasing, then that can be due to the following:

1. Old and expired indexes are not getting deleted

2. Long Browse and retention policies

1. you can delete the expired indexes by running the command nsrim -x

2. If you have long browse and retention policies, indexes would stay for longer time and new one's will enter when ever you run a backups. So we can expect the increse in size of the CFI.
