Configuring ACSLS silo
Hi,
I'm trying to configure a ACSLS silo by jbconfig but funny thing is it is not showing me the "STL silo" option 5
Jbconfig is running on host abc (Windows Server 2003 5.2),
and is using abc as the NetWorker server.
1) Configure an AlphaStor Library.
2) Configure an Autodetected SCSI Jukebox.
3) Configure an Autodetected NDMP SCSI Jukebox.
4) Configure an SJI Jukebox.
What kind of Jukebox are you configuring?
Initially I was thinking the Networker software issue, I have tried upgraded to newer version and even reinstall but still no luck. The ACSLS seems doesnt has any issue, I can see the ssi process is running.
Any clue?

What NW version do you use? When I run jbconfig on 7.6SP5 I get:
1) Configure an AlphaStor Library.
2) Configure an Autodetected SCSI Jukebox.
3) Configure an Autodetected NDMP SCSI Jukebox.
4) Configure an SJI Jukebox.
5) Configure an STL Silo.
6) Exit.

Hi,
I'm using 7.6.2, I did upgraded to 7.6.4 but the difference is added an option 5 which is "Exit". I have another backup server with 7.6.2 as well but have no issue at all.

I no longer run 7.6SP4 - my test was under 7.6SP5 HPUX. I also did a quick check on test server which is based on 8.0.0.7 and it works there too (Linux).

My enviroment is Windows 2003 x64, I just tried upgraded to 7.6.5. Still the same issue...

I would argue this is somewhat related then to Windows version. I never worked with ACSLS on Windows (only Solaris), but in old days (not sure if the same is true today) you needed program called library attach on Windows (or something like that, it was delivered by STK). One would need to check compatibility matrix for combination you run now.

Yes, it needs the LibAttach to install. But this already done in the early stage but the jbconfig command still not showing the option 5.

Found the root cause. My environment is Windows 2003 x64 which does not support ACSLS with Networker 7.6.X.
Have to upgrade to Networker 8.0.X.
