EMC NMM 2.0
Will Networker Module for Microsoft Apps 2.0 act as a storage node or do I need an additional DSN license?
A little backround: I am just put in a new Clariion (CX3-40f) with luns for my Exchange 2007 and with luns for VSS snapshots using NMM.
If my Networker server is on the SAN also, is it even worth it to do this? Would it be the same speed if the VSS snapshot luns were presented to the NSR server instead of the Exchange itself?

Also, could the Networker server act as the proxy itself since its attached to the SAN? Would it need NMM installed?

Yes, you can use same proxy for these backups. Your backup server can be proxy. Both application and proxy require NMM - check installation guide.

Networker 7.4.2 is currently installed. Please uninstall Networker before installing the Networker Module for Microsoft Applications.
Then you click OK and it aborts the installation.
So I guess the actual NSR server can't be the proxy afterall.
And this means I need to purchase a Storage Node license (non-dedicated).

only says you should uninstall NW. So did you try to
uninstall NW and install NMM and then NW on top of
that?
Tried what you said.
When I tried to reinstall NW server, it doesn't even get past the initial step of the installation before it gives me an abort message.
It says an older version of Networker is already installed and to remove before installing this version of Networker.
