Exchange 2016 backups failing. DAG stretch cluster (multi-site)

Has anyone encountered an issue backing up Exchange 2016 where the production servers are in one data center and the rest are in a colocation stretch clustered via the DAG?

We have been encountering issues ever since migrating from 2010 to 2016. We are using Networker 8.2.4 with the 9.1.1.5 agents on the individual servers. We have been working with EMC support for nearly a month now.  I was just wondering if anyone out there has had any similar issues or have a similar setup.
