Homebase: get client list
Hi
is there a way to export (automatically ?) the list of clients backuped by homebase ? (request the DB for exemple)
The objective is to do a DPA report comparing what we have in homebase and what has been backuped.
thanks

Christophe,
I am not sure if this will meet your requirements or not, but ther is a section in the HomeBase Server Admin Guide (version 6.3) that sates
HomeBase Server command overview
HomeBase Server service management can be performed from the command line with the hbs utility. Executing the help command provides a complete list of the available command line options. For each option, the format of the parameter and the arguments is listed.
The hbs utility is installed in the bin directory of the server installation location, but can be run from any location.
Following is the command syntax:
hbs [options] [arguments]
Command: database
Options / Descriptons:
decode - Decodes an exported database (dump) into text.
dump - Exports all or portions of the HomeBase database to a specified location.
I must admit that I am not all that familar with homebase yet, but this looks like it might be something that could give you what you need.
The documentation for the Hombase server can be found on Powerlink. After you log into Powerlink, navigate to Support > Technical Documentation and Advisories > Software ~ E-I ~ Documentation > HomeBase. In the left hand column there is a list of the version of Hombase. Select the version you are using. In the center section there will be a list of documents available for that version.
The command listed above is referenced from the EMC HomeBase Server Release 6.3 Administration Guide. Please verify this will work for your by referring to the correct version of the Administration Guide.
I hope this helps a little!
