NDMP Proxy-Node ?
Im trying to do a NDMP backup via proxy node
using
nsrndmp_save -M -P -T dump
which keeps failing with
...........
data connect: failed to establish connection .....
.....
backup failed
specifying without the backup node everything works fine
I've tried running this via cmd line from the backup server and the proxy node
with no luck
I've also specified this in the client "backup command" resource and start the backup via savegrp with the same
error
The proxy node I want to use is actuall the storage node so its configued in NW already

Did you forget that the proxy node must be added to the client's "Remote Access" list?
For details please read the appropriate manpage.

Did you check the connectivity for that interface between backup server and filer itself? Both should be able to use that one.

Have you tried to reorder theses parameters ?
