NMM 3.0 79248:nsrsnap:Ignoring unrecognized option 'q', use '-?' to see usage
Hi
I get this error message when I ran our exchange backup.
79248:nsrsnap:Ignoring unrecognized option 'q', use '-?' to see usage
What does this mean? 'q' I cant even found that option with -?
Does this just mean that we terminated the job?

Hi Carlos
We use NW server 8.1.2.1 and client 8.1.2 and NMM 3.0.
The nmm backup runs well now but I was just curious about the error message.
So that messages is a general error message then?

Hello christeriversen
This is usually either a bad configuration or some other kind of failure.
Can you please check the nmm.raw file on the client?
Also could you please let us know the NW server and client versions used?
Thank you,
Carlos

Quick question,
Do you have selected a pool on the client configuration? If so please deselect the pool, as the pool is determined within the group configuration when you select "Snapshot pool".
Thank you,
Carlos

With NW 8.1SP1 you should upgrade to NMM 3.0 SP1
Upgrade and let us know if the issue is gone (should be gone).
Thank you,
Carlos

Hi,
What is the NSR_ALT_PATH= configured for that client?
Do you have any value set in the group properties, under the advanced tab, for browse and retention policies?
Also, could you please let me know the build of NMM?
Thank you,
Carlos
