Hello CaGee21

This could indicate an issue with registering the EMC PowerShell library; to register it please do as follows:

Re-registered the powershell library:

C:\Windows\system32>Cd C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319>regasm "C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\bin\libnmexchmgmt.dll"

You shoud get an output as follows:

Microsoft .NET Framework Assembly Registration Utility version 4.0.30319.17929

for Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0.30319.17929

Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation.  All rights reserved.

Types registered successfully

Try again after re-registering the DLL and please let us know the results.

Thank you,

Carlos

Hi CaGee21

Did you get this output when running the command?:

Microsoft .NET Framework Assembly Registration Utility version 4.0.30319.17929

for Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0.30319.17929

Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation.  All rights reserved.

Types registered successfully

If so, could you please either attach the nmm.raw file from the nodes here, or send them over to me as private message here in the forum?

Also please do check the Application and System event logs and see if there is any error there that could point you in the right direction.

Thank you,

Carlos

Hello Carlos,

I have the same error here.

I registered the dll

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319>regasm "C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\bin\libnmexchmgmt.dll"

Microsoft .NET Framework Assembly Registration Utility version 4.0.30319.33440

for Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0.30319.33440

Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation.  All rights reserved.

Types registered successfully

but the backup is still failing with the error

nsrsnap_vss_save NMM .. Exchange2010 Shell interface is unavailable. This may indicate that the EMC powershell library was not properly registered.

Note that Exchange server is version 2013

Thanks,

Enrico
