NW8: unable to contact the console server. the server may still be initializing

Hi all,

I installed Networker Server and NMC (version 8.0.2.3) on a Windows 2012 (64Bit) host.

When I want to start the NMC (directly one the server via RDP session with IE10) the following error occurs:

"Unable to contact the Console server. The server may still be initializing"

Java versions I tried are 1.7.0_40 and 1.7.0_25, but the error remains the same.

Hints in the internet or here in the community deal with older Networker versions.

But I use the latest.

In the error message guide i found:

The problem may be addressed by performing one or more of the following actions:

The ::1 entry may be missing from the /etc/hosts file on the NetWorker client. Ensure
that this entry is added in the following format:
::1 localhost aliases

If the IP address/hostname of the NetWorker Console server is modified or protocols
such as IPv6 are added or removed, shutdown the Console server and run the
gstconfig command. For more information, refer to the most recent release of the
NetWorker Administration Guide.

I verified that hosts entries are correct.

Any more hints how to get the NMC going?

Do I need a special Java Version 1.7_x here?
