NetWorker 7.6.4.0 --> NetWorker 8.0.0.3

Hi to all ECN.

I am considering to upgrade NetWorker server and all of its storage nodes / clients to version 8.0.0.3.

Is that wise, or, should I reconsider and just wait for more higher versions of NetWorker?

Now, my backups are running just fine with just a few glitches, but nothing to be worried about.

Thanks

I went from 7.5.3.5 to 7.6.3.7 and that version had few glitches. Shortly after I went  to 7.6.4.2 which seems to be perfect match for what I have (currently, 7.6.4.3 is latest patch level for 7.6.x code).  I can say that in my case 7.6.4.2 is really good version, but at the end of the day it all depends on what you are after...

Hi Zlatko,

You have NetWorker 7.6.4.0 which is good , and your backup environment is running fine with some minor issues, so in my point of view there is no need to upgrade to NetWorker 8.0.0.3 Except if you want to benefit from the new features in NetWorker 8.0 like Client Direct as an example as well as the new architecture of NetWorker 8 , etc......  but if you are not looking for the benefits of NetWorker 8.0 , so i cannot see a reason to upgrade your whole environment for now.

Hope this helps you.

So, updating to the latest 7.6.4.x version is the best choice for me, I suppose.
