NetWorker auto eject feature

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what is it for this Networker Jukebox feature "auto eject"?

You can find it Diagnostic mode>Jukebox properties>Advanced>Jukebox features.

Are you sure about that? Because I would not say that. What you described is something controlled by idle device timeout. Auto eject is library (hardware) feature which gets checked if detected during library configuration. For more information on that you need to check library configuration. Last time I have seen this option explained in Legato docs was during Smart Media era (manual for lcp_std_lcp).

If you select this feature after completion of backup medias from the drive will get automatically unmounted. And if this feature is not selected the Networker will not unmount the Tapes from drive, provided there is no Backup is scheduled on the same drive. So in this condition Tapes will be in mounted state so that for next backup it will save the time of mounting operation.

Even I believe what is described is a idle device timeout function.
