Networker 9.1 and SNMP

Hi guys,

I configured an SNMP notification checking every field:

Is it normal that if a backup fails no traps are sent?

I scheduled a bad configured policy, it failed, no trap sent.

Is this a normal behaviour?

Other kinds of traps are sent (when a pool is written, for example).

Have you tried to configure it directly via policy or workflow?

Re: Networker 9.1 and SNMP

There are hardware failure logs for alert notifications in NMC but nothing related to backup failures

I am personally looking into working to tweak the mongodb of BRM and get this job done - some scripting is required of course.

Re: Networker 9.1 and SNMP

EMC TechSupport notified that the option to report on Backup Failure via SNMP is not included... Hence we raised a Request for Enhancement to Engineering.. There is no ETA for the fix at this moment .. we are using DPA SNMP Traps to capture these now
