Hi all
I added a new NDMP client settings:
Backup command: nsrndmp_save -T dump
Application information:
DIRECT=Y
HIST=Y
UPDATE=Y
USE_TBB_IF_AVAILABLE=Y
fails with messages:
84118:nsrndmp_save: Failed to propagate handle 0000000000000000 to C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\bin\nsrndmp_2fh.exe child process: The handle is invalid. (Win32 error 0x6)
84118:nsrndmp_save: Failed to propagate handle 0000000000000000 to C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\bin\nsrndmp_2fh.exe child process: The handle is invalid. (Win32 error 0x6)
Thanks in advance
Have you ever run NDMP backups before?
Do not forget about fundamental settings
- specific NDMP devices (unless you use NetWorker DSA)
- Specific pools
- NDMP specific client settings like
- NDMP option
- Remote user & Password
- The save set must be specified ('All' cannot be resolved)
just to name the most important ones ...
I think that's all settings correct because no error with HIST=N
Are there any new solutions here? We are also concerned about this problem. However, it only occurs in individual file systems
We are on 9.2.1.1 and suffer the same issue. Intermittently.
Same issue with a Windows NW 8.2 Backup Server + NetAPP NDMP backup
84118:nsrndmp_save: Failed to propagate handle 0000000000000000 to D:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\bin\nsrndmp_2fh.exe child process: The handle is invalid. (Win32 error 0x6)
Issue not identified yet.
Hi, I see the same error with NetWorker 9.1.1.5
Here's my NDMP client config:
Backup command: nsrndmp_save -T dump
BUTYPE=dump
DIRECT=N
HIST=Y
UPDATE=Y
USE_TBB_IF_AVAILABLE=Y
NSR_PS_DEBUG_LEVEL=0
NSR_DSA_NODE=storagenode1.fqdn.local
