Networker Memory Requirements physical vs virtual

Hello,

Concerning Performance Optimization Planning Guide 18.1 (docu89902.pdf)

Can someone explain why "Minimum memory required" (Table 3) is different between "Physical Networker server" vs "Virtual Networker server"?

Why is 16GB enough when running bare metal, but 32 GB is required when running in a VM? Somehow that doesn't make sense.

Thanks.

PS. It's OOM regularly anyways and we definitely are not what would be considered "large". Java at its finest.

You are absolutely right - such 'flat' statement does not make sense. In general it depends how much load NW has to fulfil at a time and how much RAM these processes need. However, in general, it is not a bad solution to have some spare power (CPU & RAM) in case you need it.
