Networker V9 Notification

Sorry for my bad english... On Networker V8 it was possible to set a notification command with

"/bin/mail -s "hotnetworkerb.fbn-dummerstorf.de's savegroup '${NSR group}' failure" root"

On V9 this ${NSR group} does not work. There are no hints in any guides. Which variables are possible in V9?

Best regards

micha

Check the manpage / command reference guide for nsr_notification, there is a "NOTIFICATION VARIABLES" section.

For policy related notifications the variables posted above are the only ones.

I know that the policy send the message. That was not the question. Which variables are possible in V9?

Savegrp no longer sends notification in networker 9, Policy frame work send the notification email messages.

You can edit notification in Administration window > choose Servers tab which contains Notification, User Group, Directive and other old tabs which were under configuration window

Try these:

The following variables are available to policy related notifications:

${NSR} : NSR server’s hostname

${NSR Policy} : the name of the policy that is being run

${NSR Workflow} : the name of the workflow that is being run

${NSR Action} : the name of the action that is being run

Number 1-3 work fine, but ${NSR Action} is always empty. I missing a status like ${NSR Result}. You have some more informations?
