Networker and Oracle

Hello everyone,

I have a question reviewing the NetWorker Documentation for Applications, this is for NetWorker 8.1+:

What is the backup level that is supported by Oracle?

- Full and Incremental OR - Synthetic Full and Incremental

Thank you!

Synthetic Full is a file level based functionality of the NW server - it will most likely never been supported by the NW client (where the NMDA command will run) because the NW server would not know how to 'assemble' the data.

From the NW 9.0 NDMA Release Notes:

With NMDA 9.0, the NetWorker backup levels 2 to 9 are deprecated for scheduled backups. You can set the following new backup levels for scheduled backups with the NetWorker 9.0 server: Full, Cumulative Incr, Incr. NMDA does not support the Synthetic Full backup level.
