Networker backup from NBMR

Hi,

I try to make a image backup using the NBMR utility of Cristie. This should launch the Networker back to tape.

The client blnx01 (linux server) is defined on the Networker server b-olaf-cblgt. Data backup of that Client blnx01 runs fine. This backups are initiated by the Networker server. All fine.

When i launch a NBMR backup as follows (from the client lnx01), I get an error:

# root@slnx01 savefs -v -l full -s b-olaf-cblgt /boot

3817: savefs: Using 10.10.10.11......... as server

7196: savefs b-olaf-cblgt is not backup enabled nor is it listed in this client's resources.

slnx01 is the hostname of the linux box while blnx01 is an entry in the hosts file to point to the second NIC on the Linux client. The IP-address of blnx01 is in the same subnet as 10.10.10.11.

Any idea how to fix this ?

Best regards,

johan

How is your client defined?  What is strange here is that it complains about backup server name used and not client as it says:

savefs b-olaf-cblgt is not backup enabled nor is it listed in this client's resources

On the NW server as blnx01.... it  is succesfully backed up by the server when the server initiates the backup.
