Networker file restore to a Isilon share
Hi,
I hope someone can help .
We have a client that saves D:\ as file backup ,our client has requested to restore D:\ content to a Isilon SMB share.
I tried but I wasn't choose isilon as target for that restore, I also tried to map that share as a drive but Networker Client didn't let me choose it as destination.
Any ideas or workarrounds for this ?
Networker client and server version are 8.2.4.6
Thanks in advance.

I think this is not possible in one step:
- the Isilon is a NDMP filer.
- consequently you want to restore NW standard save set data to shared directory which resides on an NDMP filer.
- however, on such filer, there is no (NW) client software (recover) which will support the restore.
This is when you use the NW User GUI.
It might work from the new Recover window within the NW Admin GUI, though. It is more intelligent.
If it does not work, do a recover to a temp directory and copy/move the files from here to the filer's share.

Thanks for the reply.
That's exactly what I found, I was trying to use the client to redirect the save but didn't find the network drive .
If anyone has a success story regarding this will be great to know .
