This is not so easy as you do not receive any error message. It looks like the connection has been cut.

We have had this issue for a while and we recently found that the reason was 'forgotten' virus file on one of our test servers.

If the backup hits that file, the AV program just killed the process and of course there was no chance to retrieve a proper status any more. So the AV checks worked ;-)

You may want to look into that area ...

Is file level backup working fine? Lets keep BBB aside for sometime. Error you are getting shows the connection exited. Check for any peer conflict on deamon.raw on Backup server.

Two things to check at this point.

  1. What is the save set you are using to back up the Windows server?
  2. What is the Windows Version?

Thanks

It is not clear from your post if this happens immediately (or at which point) or at the same time or at the end of saveset backup (which might indicate timeout with control session indicating data session was saved ok and that should be reflected via mminfo).

the issue appear after 80 min of backup..

The timeout is set to 0
