Retroactive Backups

Jump to solution

We're using Networker 8 with NMM application modules for SQL server.   We have been instructed to use seperate groups for the SQL backup from the File System backups and to schedule these not to interefere with eachother.  Is there a way to schedule the SQL group and once complete to retroactively execute the File system group?   Thanks in advance for your assistance!!

NetWorker does not have such built in option to start group after another group completes.

You can use savepnpc and custom scripts to achieve this.

For more information on savepnpc, refer to NetWorker command reference guide.

Hi,

You could use probe-based backups for this also.   With this you can define a backup to start only if a certain condition is met.  You can find details of how to do this in the NetWorker Administration Guide p. 69.
