Scanning Libaries - Reconfigure Libraries

I have deleted  jukebox library in order to recreate it. Then I have right clicked Libraries and select  "Scan for Devices",  and  then I have chosen yes for scanning all LUNs. The scanning is not giving  library in red as I expect, and I could not proceed any further. What is the problem? Can I use some line command sto solve the problem?

Operating system on Networker Server is MS Windows 2003.

It is not, and that might be the problem.

You can use jbconfig command to configure the library. Before that try inquire command to check whether the library is visible to OS or not.

Neither jbconfig gives solution:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>jbconfig

Jbconfig is running on host server10-1rd.fplus.local (Windows Server 2003 5.2),
and is using server10-1rd.fplus.local as the NetWorker server.

         1) Configure an AlphaStor Library.
         2) Configure an Autodetected SCSI Jukebox.
         3) Configure an Autodetected NDMP SCSI Jukebox.
         4) Configure an SJI Jukebox.
         5) Configure an STL Silo.
         6) Configure a Microsoft Removable Storage Jukebox.

What kind of Jukebox are you configuring? [1] 2

There appear to be no SCSI jukeboxes connected to this system.

I have tried with reboot of server. The  problem is that I have deleted library, and from then all server could not see the jukebox, even in Devica Manager all of them could not see the autochanger, there is no second tape drive and jukebox icon there as well. Nothing  else have been changed. The problem how I see it, is that might be with Windows Operating System. Otherwise why all of them stop working immediately I deleted that library, I mean why all of them including networker could not see jukebox?

It does not have to take anything with license. The inquire output shows two drives which means only the autochanger is not visible. You can try with a reboot of the server. It may work.

Deleting from NetWorker does not affect the OS. There is something wrong between OS and library connectivity. Check the cabling between library and networker. I expect there is connectivity problem between the two.

It is not even in any of Device Managers. The very moment the library was deleted on Networker Server, it has disappeared on DriverManager as well. I do not know why it is not visable to OS. The jukebox is ADIC Scalar 24 310A/Autocharger.

I  was told that something has to be done, to be visable. It looks like hardware problem and that is not visable. Maybe licence?

In the output of the inquire there is no autochanger shown. This happens when the jukebox is not visible to the OS. Check the device manager. I expect there also autochannger will not be there. First you need to make sure that library is visible at OS level then only you can configure it in NetWorker.

Corerect FC Switch and Autochanger connection. By the way is there some equipment to test FC connectors on the market? In this case it was tranceiver in FC switch.

I think there must be but unfortunately I am not using any such devices.
