Setting date format for Networker scheduled Oracle RMAN backup using NLS_DATE_FORMAT

Hello,

We use Networker scheduled backups for Oracle database backups using RMAN. Since we upgraded to newest version of Networker we are not able to set properly date format used in logs generated by RMAN. Scheduled backups are configured using NMDA configuration file which allows us to set such environment variables as ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID, NLS_LANG, but it's not possible to set NLS_DATE_FORMAT which is the only way to make RMAN print dates as time stamps. Without setting NLS_DATE_FORMAT RMAN logs print only short dates (year/month/day) which is not useful. For the moment we use 'host' command inside RMAN script which prints date at the begging and the end of the backup, but we are not able to see all the time stamps for all the RMAN channels and so on. Is there a way to pass NLS_DATE_FORMAT when using Networker scheduled backups - or - what are the plans for the future versions of NMDA regarding NLS_DATE_FORMAT parameter?

Hi,

I have asked the same question to the support, and the answer was that it will probably included in next NMDA release.
