It is possible to implement synthetic backups (Full and Inc) with Informix DB and is there any configuration or recommendation guide to do it!
- NW Server 8.0.1 HP-Ux 11.31
- Informix Database server as Storage Node 8.0.1 NMDA 1.2 HP-Ux 11.31 SD2 Vpar
- DDBoost Backup LAN 1GB Ethernet

In NetWorker 8.0 Administration Guide:
The synthetic full operation is resource intensive. In order to manage resource usage, it is best practice to perform synthetic full operations outside of the normal backup window.
Do not perform a synthetic full backup, if the:
◆ Backup type is NDMP, SCSI or VCB.
◆ Save set belongs to a snapshot group.
◆ Save sets contain backups of raw disk file partitions.
◆ Save sets contain database systems such as Microsoft Exchange and Oracle.
◆ Backup command with save is not used.
Obviouosly you should not configure synthetic full backup for Informix database.
