client compression for SQL not working
Hello,
My customer have a Win 2003 SP1 server, with SQL 2005 on it. Networker module for SQL is running on version 5.1.1.202
We've tried to use client compression, using both GUI and command line (nsrsqlsv -C), and the same volume of data is saved.
We tried to run verbose mode, and the only difference is that when using -C, it shows "NSR_COMPRESSION=True", so everything seems to be fine, but we still don't have any data compressed.
Does anyone ever tried to use compression on SQL and had issues?
Thanks,

Where is the data going to? If tape drive uses HW compression, there isn't any other compression making the difference.
