drenpress script for drive utilizaiton

Hello everyone,

There used to be script for drive utilization for Networker on the site www.drenpress.com (which is unfortunately unavailable for the moment).
Is there any chance if someone kept it? If you have it, can you please send it to me? Thanks...

In a nutshell all that the drenpress script did was to pretty print the output taken from the statistics operation resource from within nsradmin:

NSR operation; statistics

for example:

# nsradmin
nsradmin> show name; NSR operation; statistics
nsradmin> print type: nsr device
name: /dev/rmt/1cbn;
NSR operation: ;
statistics: elapsed = 2460, errors = 0, last rate = 923,
max clients = 4, file marks = 6, rewinds = 0,
files skipped = 24, records skipped = 0,
current file = 19, current record = 223,
seek files = 2, seek records = 0,
estimated kb = 0, amount kb = 23808,
file amount kb = 23808, sessions = 4;

Useful fields to note in the output:

name the drive name (ie: /dev/rmt/0cbn)
NSR operation will show Write during a backup session, or Read during a restore session
sessions during a backup would show how many active sessions are being written to device
last rate shows the data transfer rate

An example of rewriting the output could be written in the form of:

<# sessions>

NMC has basic utilization chart per device - see if that gives you any valuable input... I believe more can be done using EBA.
