how to expand a 0.5T vba to 4T or larger
I deployed a 0.5T vba of vmware protection solution initially,now the capacity is far smaller than what i need,Can i expand the capacity to 4T or larger ? or must I decommission the old one than deploy a new 4T vba from scratch?

Hi Aditya,
The Disk structure is different in both the versions.
EMC Backup and Recovery appliance (0.5 TB OVA)
• CPU: 4 * 2 GHz
• Disks: 3* 250 GB
• Backup storage capacity: 0.5 TB
• OS: 250 GB
EMC Backup and Recovery appliance (4 TB OVA)
• CPU: 4 * 2 GHz
• Disks: 6 * 1 TB
• Backup storage capacity: 4 TB
• OS: 250 GB
You have to decommision the 0.5 TB & install 4 TB NVP alliance from scratch ,
Note : Decommissioning the NVP appliance will delete the existing data.
