The backup started to fail now or it's the first time you try this one?
If you run save from client side, does it work? Ex:
save -vvv -s -b

Since NW 7.3 clients are exchanging SSL certificates. Howerver, if you use an older client, this will not be possible. I think this is what you see here.

Try:
savegrp -vvv -D9
Then copy the output to here.

I don't see backup fauilure being anywhere mentioned. As a matter of fact, you can see that error without any impact to backup outcome.
