Have you looked at the retention policies for the console DB?  (Following is from admin guide around pg 356)

Setting expiration policies for data retention

Note: Only a Console Application Administrator can perform this procedure.

To set expiration policies:

1. From the Console window, click Reports.

2. From the Reports menu, select Data Retention. The Data Retention dialog box appears.

3. For each policy, type the number of periods and select a period of time (year, month, week, day).

4. To save the configuration of the data retention policies, click OK.

In addition to what Eric mentioned I will a add..

.    To delete all NMC reporting data, set retention policy to 1 day for all the data types in the Data Retention dialog. On the next run of the database purge thread (runs every 8 hours), it will delete all the reporting data

-     Remember to set the retention policies back to desired values after the 8 hour period.

-     Note that the NMC SQL database (lgto_gst.db) size never shrinks. Empty space is reused later.

-     If the transaction log file (lgto_gst.log) of NMC database is too big, check the Admin guide on how to use savepsm to truncate the transaction log file.

-     The transaction log file is automatically truncated after every backup of NMC database. If NMC database backups are not being run, savepsm will have to be run manually to truncate the transaction log.
