sjirdtag fails on Solaris 10 with 'Device busy'
I have a problem. NW 7.5.4.7, Solaris 10. When I try to query the jukebox with sjirdtag I get
Device busy. Jukebox operations from Networker work without problems.
nsrlcpd locks the sgen driver and sji commands fail.
Is there a way to make low level queries to the jukebox without first disabling it?
regards
Bernd

Hallo Carlos,
I know this KB article. But I have a little hope there is some kind of workaround.

Hi Bernd,
I think this is a known issue. Looks like it's a Solaris issue, but there ia an RFE opened for it, as per KB:
https://solutions.emc.com/emcsolutionview.asp?id=esg107316
Thank you.
Carlos.

Hi Bernd,
Unfortunately I'm afraid the only workaround so far is to disable the library.
About the RFE we can only wait for EMC's feedback about it.
Anyway maybe W.M. can provide us with some information
Thank you.
Carlos.

Hi Bernd,
I believe the same as Carlos mentioned, the only workaround is to disable the library, but i recommend you firstly before doing that to open a service request with EMC providing Powerlink KB article and ask about that RFE if there is a fix or a workaround for that issue. I am sure you will get more information about that RFE.
Thanks,
