3548P configure a network printer
Back again with a new question...
I recently inherited our network at a small college prep private boarding school. The network was configured by an outside company many years before I arrived. There is little documentation (that I know of), so I am flying a bit bind here.
I recently replaced an old 3348p with a 3548p, and got out IP phones and Internet working, but network printers are out.
I am assuming I need to configure the port(s) to which the printer(s) are connected -- any tips that will help a newbie?
Thanks
Tim

Here is a link to the manuals available for the 3500 models.

You will need to set the port in an access mode for the VLAN (network) that you want the printer communicating.
console> enable
console# config
console(config)# interface ethernet 1/e1
console(config-if)# switchport mode access
console(config-if)# switchport access vlan 2
console(config-if)# end
