[7048P] LACP doesn't work correctly with Supermassive 9200

Hi everybody,

I have a small problem with a LACP link between a Switchy (PowerConnect 7048P) and a firewall (SonicWall Supermassive 9200).

Both of them are in the last firmware version :

  • PowerConnect 7048P with the firmware v5.1.14.1
  • SonicWall Supermassive 9200 with the firmware SonicOS Enhanced v6.5.4.3-34n

About the configuration into the PowerConnect 7048P, I add some screenshots.

The LACP link is done with the ports 1 and 2.

For be compatible with the firewall, I check the LACP Timeout was "long" for the port 1 and 2.

After that, when I check on SSH connection, the port one is synchronized, collecting and distributing but not the port 2.

If someone has already met this kind of case, I will be interested to know what you do for working LACP correctly.

PS :if you need some LACP configuration of the firewall, I can add some screenshots.

Best regards.

Hi,

I found the solution.

I wrong configuration is into the firewall.

On the SuperMassive serie, with the recent firmwares, you have 2 places about the aggregation link.

In the 'Network' tab, You need to check the configuration on the main port of your aggregation link. You need to select "none" to the parameter 'Redundant/Aggregate Ports'.

In the 'Switching' tab, you need to configure the aggregation link here, like my screenshot.

After this modification, the aggregate link works.

Best regards.

Hi,

If you disconnect the port that is working does the other one become active?
