8024F redondant 10G network's with LAG

Hy,

I want to make a redondant 10G network's.
I have two pwerconnect 8024F and i want to create this :

                  8024F
               /      | |      \
server 1       | |        server 2
               \      | |      /
                  8024F

The LAG betewen the two 8024F is OK.
I know how to make bonding on server1 and server2, but where i say to each swicht to make a LAG with the other one ? I must/can use LACP ?

Regards

Hi,

The feature you want is calling MLAG (Multi-chassis LAG) and it's not avialable for PC8024F. You need switches that support stacking or virtual chassis (or something else).

On your own risk you can try static group (without LACP), but consequences may be unpredictable.

Hi,

I would like to have more information about that scenario because I was wondering to know if I can configure in a LAG (between two 8024F in stacking) two different physical ports: one from the switch one and the other one form the switch two.
(since with the latest firmware version it seems the staking is now possible).

In that way, if something will happen to one of the two switchs, I still have the LAG with one physical port on it.

I also tried to call the dell support but they cannot help me (I had 4 call transfer during the call....)

Thank you a lot for your cooperation.

Regards,
