Connect two 5548P with fiber
Hello
I need to connect two 5548P switches with fiber since they are quite far apart. In terms of hardware, what is required? Also, what is the type of fibre required for a connection like this?

Hi,
How far apart are you needing? You would need SFP+ transceivers on each of the switches and then the fiber to connect them. Depending on the distance you would use SX or LX fiber. Page 35

So I need to buy one of these

even if it looks like the switch is ready to connect a fibreconnector to from the picture on page 35 where it shows 2 SPF+ ports?

The SFP+ ports are where you connect a transceiver. You can get twinax cables that connect directly, but they have a 5M distance limit.
