Connecting to mobile network in India on Dell Gateway 5000

I have Dell Edge Gateway 5000 with Ubuntu Core 16 in India which I have procured a couple of years back from US. I want to connect it to Airtel Network. I have an Airtel sim card which I have inserted in the sim card slot. But the Gateway is not detecting the sim card. When I try to make the connection up with "nmcli con up Connection_Name" command, I am getting an error such as "No suitable Device found for this connection." I have already configured a connection Connection_Name with the Airtel apn. I am wondering whether this error is because of the ISP being an Indian provider and the Gateway being procured from US. Please let me know if anyone has faced and/or resolved issues similar to this one.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with these devices. Have you tried contacting support directly? You should be able to reach the support group through this link: https://dell.to/2CKKnsh

Hi Daniel, Thanks for the link. I am not able to reach the support website using the link. I get redirected to the same thread when I click on the link. I tried a different browser as well, but not able to go to the support website. Can you please provide any other url to reach the support group?

Hi there,

I have a new edge gateway 5000, when putting in the SIM card, I got this error message in the "Mobile Broadband Manager": "SIM not inserted". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

XIngsheng
