On a N1148T-ON switch running version 126.96.36.199 of Dell Networking OS.
I have tried using the DHCP auto-configuration to setup the ssh service using the following configuration file: configure crypto key generate rsa crypto key generate dsa ip ssh server ip ssh pubkey-auth ip ssh protocol 2 exit
It seems the 'crypto key generate' commands does not create the private/public keys pairs when configured using auto configuration. There are no problems when entering these commands in the console. Am I doing something wrong?
Re: DHCP auto-configuration and generating ssh keys
I have not seen this behavior before. Just to confirm, after using DHCP auto configuration to apply this configuration SSH does not work? Are there any messages recorded in the logs? The firmware is out of date, do you have an available window to update and test again?
